Marc Bakker (1965) holds a master in corporate law and nima A in marketing but most of it the is passionate about sports. After some jobs in the corporate world marc decide to follow his passion for sport. He became the marketing & pr manager for stadium Feyenoord in Rotterdam and afterwards he became the project manager Rotterdam Topsport in which he amongst other things was responsible for the Euro 2000 soccer tournament. For the Rotterdam Stopover Foundation Marc was responsible for the stop-over of the Volvo Ocean Race in 2006 with the spectacular event of â??DJ Tiesto on the maasâ?� with over 150.000 spectators as an absolute highlight. Marc decided to contribute his knowledge in sport marketing, partnerships and events towards sport for development organizations like Right to Play and Stars in Their Eyes.

It was in 1984 that marc fell in love with South Africa and since then he has been living partly in the Netherlands and partly in his house in South Africa. He was responsible for a feasibility study for right to play in South Africa and he facilitated the study trip â??Olympic Plan 2028â?� of the Dutch Ministry of VWS in 2009. Marc is currently living in Kommetjie and the local manager for both the Behold Sport for Development as well as the Rainbow Collection activities.
