In 2008 10 Alumni of the largest global student association AIESEC (www.aiesec.org) came together to revitalize their commitment towards new leadership. It resulted in an inspiring project to engage the AIESEC Alumni network to deliver a business wise contribution to the MDGs. A very successful brainstorm event the MDG dragons den was organized in the Netherlands and Tanzania. In this event AIESEC alumni developed MDG business plans and presented them to a panel of Dragon?s Den experts from both companies, entrepreneurs, development organization (UNV) and government (Minister Koenders). We went on a fact finding mission to Tanzania to explore on the ground what impact business have towards the MDGs and advice the UN how to tap into the private sector resources. The potential of this initiative to tap into the resources of 500.000 AIESEC alumni with an open minded leadership mindset is unlimited...
