Pieter (1984) studies business administration at the VU university Amsterdam. He is writing his thesis about the possibilities that the World Cup 2010 offers for entrepreneurs and small & medium firms and he delivers a tool to translate the legacies into long term benefits, with this thesis he got involved in Behold's activities towards the World Cup 2010.
Before his master business administration Pieter finished his bachelor at the Johan Cruyff University, a commercial economic study related to sports. During this study he was involved in the KNVB/ Foundation More than Football to use the power of sport for corporate and socio-economic development and within Heineken to advise in the implementation of the new design of the brand 'Amstel' in 2007. Within Behold he combines this two fields by matching the business field with the field of corporate social and economic development.
Pieter is a project manager and is concerned with the activation of several projects prior to the World Cup 2010 e.g. the 3rd HALF initiative to boost sport for development projects (www.3ehelft.org). The combination of a high growth country, CSR related topics and the world cup offers a huge variety of possibilities for Dutch entrepreneurs and companies. Just like in the Netherlands Behold is now opening an office in SA in order to assist companies with their CSR strategies and also rolling out some developed social concepts like the Rainbow Collection (www.rainbowcollection.nl). To work in the Behold team and increase the positive influence that the legacies of the World Cup and beyond have is a dream coming true. With inspiration, fun, entrepreneurial activity and impact we will achieve this! Pieter loves sports (football, tennis & sailing), travelling (South America) and to go for a chilled beer with friends.
