Behold International and GoodUp share a history in Dutch social entrepreneurship that goes back twenty years. Founders Jop Blom and Bart Lacroix started building cross-sector partnerships and employee volunteering programs since 2008.
That long-standing relationship formed a logical foundation for their current collaboration on De Nederlandse Uitdaging. This national platform connects businesses with local social initiatives across 25 regional communities. They have already facilitated over 7,400 matches, generating 5 million euros in realized social value.
The platform reached a point where it needed to scale. Behold joined GoodUp specifically as the strategic and operational partnership development lead to make that happen.
The combined team is currently securing long-term partnerships with 50 companies and 20 foundations. These collaborations focus entirely on three active programs: reducing food waste with De Laatste Pluk, integrating newcomers through Bruggen Bouwen, and providing equal opportunities for children in poverty with Sint voor ieder Kind.
